North Devils Garden

Arches National Park

There are likely more arches in this area of the park than any other due to the uniform geological formation. Elongated fins can be found in the higher area with several canyons extending to the east and southeast. Hikers may find traversing the steep slopes difficult and require a lot of climbing and scrambling.

Perhaps the best known feature of this area is Dark Angel, a rock spire that can be seen for miles around and often is used as a landmark by hikers.

An interesting note about the North Devils Garden area, although numerous arches have been found, the official USGS maps do not show any arches. The largest arch in the North Devils Garden area is Gothic Arch.
